Product Description

This RA Blowing Agent is a high temperature blowing agent, white fine powder, soluble in dimethyl sulfoxide, dimethylamide, dimethyl acetamide, concentrated ammonia and liquid alkali. Insoluble in acetone, methyl chloride, ethylene glycol, isopropyl alcohol, petroleum ether, toluene and water. Decomposition temperature in air is 230°C, decomposition temperature in plastic is 213-225°C. The gas output is 140-150ml/g. The gases emitted are mainly nitrogen and carbon dioxide. The solid residue after decomposition is mainly p-xylene disulfide and p-toluenesulfonic acid ammonium, the former soluble in benzene, the latter soluble in water, the RA Blowing Agent decomposition temperature is high, good stability, especially suitable for high temperature processing of plastics, for hard polyvinyl chloride, high-density polyethylene, ABS, natural rubber and other synthetic rubber plastic foam products.

As a professional blowing agent supplier, Shitong provides RA blowing agent for manufacturers that require high thermal stability, uniform cell formation and stable foam structure in plastic and rubber processing.

Key Features of Shitong RA Blowing Agent

High-Temperature Foaming Performance

RA Blowing Agent is suitable for high-temperature processing systems. It can maintain good stability before decomposition and release gas effectively during the foaming stage.

Stable Gas Generation

With a gas generation range of 140–150 ml/g, RA Blowing Agent supports controlled foam formation and helps manufacturers achieve consistent product density and foam structure.

Suitable for Rigid PVC and Engineering Plastics

This product is especially suitable for hard PVC, high-density polyethylene, ABS and other materials that require higher processing temperatures.

Fine Powder and Good Dispersion

The fine powder form and suitable particle size help improve dispersion in polymer formulations, supporting more uniform cell structure and stable foaming results.

Applicable to Rubber and Synthetic Rubber Products

RA Blowing Agent can also be used in natural rubber and synthetic rubber foam products where high-temperature processing and stable gas release are required.

Applications of RA Blowing Agent

Rigid PVC Foam Products

RA Blowing Agent is suitable for rigid PVC foam applications where high processing temperature, stable decomposition and controlled foaming are required.

HDPE Foaming Products

For high-density polyethylene foam products, RA Blowing Agent helps support stable gas release and uniform foam structure under high-temperature processing conditions.

ABS Foam Products

RA Blowing Agent can be used in ABS foaming applications to help reduce weight, improve foam consistency and support stable product performance.

Natural Rubber Foam

In natural rubber foaming systems, RA Blowing Agent helps create a cellular structure while maintaining stable processing performance.

Synthetic Rubber and Rubber-Plastic Foam

RA Blowing Agent is suitable for synthetic rubber and rubber-plastic foam products that require high-temperature decomposition and stable foam formation.

RA Blowing Agent vs OBSH Blowing Agent

OBSH Blowing Agent is often selected for low-odor rubber, plastic and synthetic leather foaming applications. It has a relatively lower decomposition temperature and is suitable for products requiring clean processing and fine cell formation.

RA Blowing Agent has a higher decomposition temperature and better high-temperature stability. It is more suitable for rigid PVC, HDPE, ABS, natural rubber and synthetic rubber products processed under higher temperature conditions.

RA Blowing Agent vs AC/ADC Blowing Agent

AC or ADC Blowing Agent is commonly used for applications requiring high gas generation and fine cell formation. However, it may need careful control in some high-temperature or thick foaming products.

RA Blowing Agent is selected when higher thermal stability and controlled decomposition are required. It is suitable for high-temperature plastic and rubber systems where stable gas release and process reliability are important.

FAQ-RA Blowing Agent

What is RA Blowing Agent used for?
